I'm Jit Hinchman, Founder and President of Supply Chain Adviser™ LLC and Sustainable Supply Chain Global Ambassador (ISCEA). I started my unconventional journey into consulting many years ago.

I love helping others. That's what led me to it.

One day a lady carried her puppy walked into the Electronics Engineering Department office where I worked as an instructor. She asked many questions about electronic devices, no one helped her but me.

I had no idea that she was a business owner.

A week later, she approached the university and asked to have me as her business consultant and technical trainer. It marked the beginning of my path into management consulting and business operations. We successfully grew her business and doubled the high-performing and well-equipped technical sales team in a few years.

However, what truly lit my spirit in consulting was the time when I was invited to help businesses

under the government program, "One Village. One Product".

I drove 5 hours straight to volunteer. I walked the whole exhibition. My task was to give recommendations to improve businesses. I needed to give a speech on the stage. I pointed out some resources and how they could keep up with market demand. One company caught my attention with its high-quality fabric. I saw its potentials and told them that if they can make it more sturdy by backing it, the patterns, colors, and quality might fit well for furniture supply materials for Japan market.

A few months later, the government official called to let me know that they took my advice, and it worked.

They were going to export their products to Japan.

I was so happy that my idea was making a positive impact on businesses and people's lives.

I was inspired to do more ever since.

My journey in implementing & incorporating supply chain management and ISO standards started when I worked for Mattel. I've been successfully applied them in other roles afterward in various industries and business contexts. To name a few such as manufacturing, retail, product development, strategic sourcing, S&OP, data analytics, and Operations. I also received a master's degree in supply chain management from the Florida Institute of Technology, ASCM certified supply chain professional, and other certificates.
